01

Introducing the Buttons

  • Start by introducing your cat to the communication buttons in a familiar and comfortable environment.

  • Place the buttons in an area where your cat spends time, such as near their food bowl or favorite resting spot.

  • Encourage exploration by placing treats around the buttons or on top of them to pique your cat's interest.

02

Identifying First Trigger Word

  • Observe your cat's behavior to identify words or phrases that elicit specific responses, such as "Treats", "Catnips", "bird".

  • Pay attention to your cat's reactions and preferences to determine which words to use for first training.

Association and Reinforcement

  • Once your cat is familiar with the buttons, begin associating button with the triggering word.

  • Use positive reinforcement techniques such as treats, praise, or affection to reward your cat for interacting with the buttons.

  • Do not force your cat to go near the buttons; instead, allow them to explore and engage with the buttons on their own terms. This step is usually the longest but patience and consistency will pay off in the end.

04

Consistent Practice and Patience

  • Practice training sessions regularly but keep them short and enjoyable to prevent fatigue or frustration.

  • Be patient and understanding of your cat's progress, as every cat learns at their own pace.

  • Celebrate your cat's successes and progress, no matter how small.
